Chechian is a village in District Chakwal, in Punjab, Pakistan. Its exact point on the map is still to be recorded, and this page is a first step toward putting it on record.
The land around it lies on the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined ground where farming depends on rain. Wheat and groundnut are the crops of the area, with the Salt Range rising to the south. Many families in the area have members serving in the army or working abroad.
