This is Dhak Kalial.
Dhak Kalial is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies 11 km in a straight line from Dhudial and 21 km from Chakwal city, the district's main town.
Choa Saidan Shah is about 29 km away, and the Katas Raj temples about 30 km. The village is in the wider Potohar plateau, a dry land of ravines and rain-fed farmland with the Salt Range to the south. Across this region, wheat and groundnut are grown, and many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The full story of Dhak Kalial, its families and its days is still to be told by its own people. We invite you to share your memories and stories here.
