Dhok Abbas is a dhok, a small farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. Its own story, its families and its history are still to be told by the people who live here and by those who have gone away.

Dhok Abbas lies about 18 km in a straight line from Kallar Kahar lake and from the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway. Dandot in the Salt Range is about 19 km away, and the Katas Raj temples about 20 km.

The land of this part of Chakwal is the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined ground where wheat and groundnut are grown on rain alone, with the Salt Range to the south. Across this region many families have members in the army or working abroad, and this page is a place for all of them to come back to.
