This is Dhok Doba.
Dhok Doba, also written Paharian Dhok, is a dhok, a small farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. Its name is spelt in more than one way, and its people know it by the name they have always used.
The village sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range rising to the south. In a straight line, Talagang is about 19 km away, Chakwal city about 46 km, and the Kallar Kahar lake and the M2 motorway interchange about 45 km each.
The full story of Dhok Doba, its families and its everyday life, is still to be told, and it is for its own people to tell it.
