This is Dhok Fateh Khel.
Dhok Fateh Khel is a dhok, a small farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range rising to the south. Lawa is 19 km away, Talagang 30 km, the M2 motorway at the Kallar Kahar interchange 53 km, and the Kallar Kahar lake 54 km.
Across this plateau, life has long been shaped by the land and the rain. Many families here have sons and daughters serving in the army or working abroad, and the bonds of those who left remain strong with the hamlet.
The full story of Dhok Fateh Khel, its families, and its days is still to be told, and it is for its own people to tell it.
