Dhok Hashu is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. In a straight line it lies about 49 km from Rawalpindi, 53 km from Dhudial, 60 km from Islamabad airport and 62 km from Chakwal city.
The hamlet sits in the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. The surrounding country is known for wheat and groundnut farming. As in many families across this plateau, some members of families here serve in the army or work abroad.
The full story of Dhok Hashu, its families and its days is still to be told, and it is for its own people to tell it.
