This is Dhok Hastal.
Dhok Hastal is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south.
Its position is easy to place. Talagang is 11 km away, the M2 motorway at the Kallar Kahar interchange is 42 km, Kallar Kahar lake is 43 km, and Lawa is 48 km.
Across the plateau, wheat and groundnut farming are the traditional livelihoods, and many families have members serving in the army or working abroad. The full story of Dhok Hastal and its people is still to be told by the people of the village themselves.
