The land around Dhok Jhor is part of the Potohar plateau, a country of dry ravines and rain-fed fields where wheat and groundnut are farmed, with the Salt Range to the south. Kallar Kahar lake and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway are each about 32 km away, Talagang is 35 km away, and Lawa is 45 km.
