This is Dhok Kumbar.
Dhok Kumbar is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet, in District Chakwal in Punjab, Pakistan. Its name is also written as Dhok Ghumbar, Dhok Ghumbār, Dhok Ghumhar and Dhok Ghumhār, and each spelling points to the same place and the same people.
The hamlet lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range rising to the south. It is about 32 km in a straight line from Talagang, and roughly 61 km from Chakwal city, Kallar Kahar lake and Lawa.
The full story of Dhok Kumbar, its families and its daily life is still to be told, and it is for its own people to tell it. Those who live here, and those who have gone abroad, are the right voices to add to this page.
