Dhok Panah is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines where fields depend on rain. Dhudial lies about 30 km away in a straight line, Chakwal city about 36 km, and Rawalpindi about 40 km. Islamabad airport is roughly 39 km off.
The land here is worked with patient hands. Across the plateau, families grow wheat and groundnut on rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range rising to the south. Many families in this region have members serving in the army or working abroad, and that link to distant places is part of life here too.
