This is Dhok Panjain.
Dhok Panjain is a dhok, a small farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab. It is also spelt Dhok Panchanianwali. In a straight line, Dhudial is about 11 km away, Chakwal city about 13 km, and both the Kallar Kahar lake and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway about 34 km.
The village sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. Across this plateau people farm wheat and groundnut, and many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The full story of this village and its families is still to be told by its own people. This page is an invitation to add it.
