It is about 18 km in a straight line from Choa Saidan Shah, 19 km from the Malot temple, 20 km from the Katas Raj temples, and 24 km from Dandot in the Salt Range. Across the plateau, wheat and groundnut are grown on rain-fed land, and many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
