This is Dhok Raola.
Dhok Raola, also spelt Raola, is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. Lawa is about 15 km away and Talagang about 36 km. The Kallar Kahar lake and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway are each about 55 km away in a straight line.
The wider plateau is known for wheat and groundnut farming, and many families across it have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The fuller story of Dhok Raola, its families and its people is still to be told. This page invites the villagers and their families abroad to tell it in their own words.
