This is Dhok Waziran.
Dhok Waziran (also spelt Dhok Wazir) is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, where the land is dry and cut by ravines and farming depends on rain.
The fields around it grow wheat and groundnut, and the Salt Range rises to the south. As across much of this plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
In straight-line distance, Choa Saidan Shah and Dhudial are about 38 km away, the Malot temple about 39 km, and the Katas Raj temples about 41 km. The full story of Dhok Waziran, its families and its people is still to be told, and we invite its elders and its young people to tell it here.
