The village lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. Dhudial is about 19 km away and Chakwal city about 28 km. The Katas Raj temples and Choa Saidan Shah are each about 44 km away in a straight line. Across this plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The longer story of Dhun, its families and its days is still to be told, and it is for its own people to tell it.
