Gharibwal (also spelt Garibwal or Garibwāl) is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan.
It lies on the Potohar plateau, a dry land of ravines where farming depends on rain and families grow wheat and groundnut. The Salt Range rises to the south. In a straight line, the village is 33 km from Talagang, 60 km from Chakwal city, 60 km from the M2 motorway at the Kallar Kahar interchange, and 61 km from Kallar Kahar lake.
Across the plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad. The full story of Gharibwal is still to be told, and its people are the ones to tell it.
