This is Jandian Mohra.
Jandian Mohra is a small hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. In a straight line, Rawalpindi is 29 km away, Islamabad airport 43 km, Dhudial 59 km and Chakwal city 67 km.
Across the Potohar, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad, and that tradition of looking beyond the plateau is shared by many households in this region.
The full story of Jandian Mohra, its families and its everyday life is still to be told. It will be told best by the people who live it and carry it with them.
