Jhag, also spelt Jhāg, is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south.
In a straight line, Jhag is 29 km from Rawalpindi, 41 km from Islamabad airport, 55 km from Dhudial and 63 km from Chakwal city. Life here is tied to rain-fed farming, where wheat and groundnut are grown. Like many families on the plateau, families here often have members serving in the army or working abroad.
