It sits on the Potohar plateau, a dry land of ravines and rain-fed fields where wheat and groundnut are grown, with the Salt Range to the south. In a straight line, Dandot in the Salt Range is about 17 km away, the Malot temple about 22 km, Choa Saidan Shah about 24 km, and the Katas Raj temples about 26 km.
