In a straight line, the village is about 27 km from Rawalpindi, 37 km from Islamabad airport, 50 km from Dhudial and 58 km from Chakwal city. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a dry land of ravines, with the Salt Range to the south. Farming here depends on rain, and wheat and groundnut are the crops grown in these fields. Many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
