This is Kot Sarang.

Kot Sarang is a village and union council in Tehsil Talagang, District Chakwal, in Punjab, Pakistan. As its name suggests, a kot is an old fortified settlement, and the village is named after Sarang Khan Gakhar.

It lies about 12 km from Talagang, 45 km from Chakwal city, and about 41 km from Kallar Kahar lake and the M2 motorway interchange there. The land around it is the dry, ravined Potohar plateau, with the Salt Range to the south. Many families here have members serving in the army or working abroad.

Kot Sarang is proudly remembered as the birthplace of Dr. Satyapal Anand, a poet and writer. His house still stands in the village, showing its old culture. The fuller story of Kot Sarang is still to be told by its own people.
