Magian (also spelt Maghian or Maghiān) is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to its south. By straight line, Talagang is about 35 km away, Chakwal city and Islamabad airport are each about 56 km, and Kallar Kahar lake is about 59 km.
Many families across this plateau have members serving in the army or working abroad, and that is part of the story of this region.
