Mal Janjal is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. In a straight line, it lies about 29 km from Rawalpindi, 35 km from Islamabad airport, 45 km from Dhudial and 52 km from Chakwal city.
The land around the village is part of the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined country where farmers grow wheat and groundnut on rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. Across this plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
