Mardwal is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. In a straight line, it lies about 23 km from Lawa, 43 km from Talagang, and 54 km from both the Kallar Kahar lake and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway.

The village is part of the Potohar plateau, a land of dry, ravined ground where wheat and groundnut are grown on rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. Across this plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
