This is Mohra Heli.
Mohra Heli is a small hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. In a straight line it is about 56 km from Chakwal city, 49 km from Rawalpindi, 47 km from Dhudial and 58 km from Islamabad airport, close enough to the cities for family to visit and far enough to keep its own quiet character.
The land around it is part of the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined country where farming depends on rain, with wheat and groundnut grown across the region and the Salt Range rising to the south. As in many homes in this part of Punjab, families here have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The full story of Mohra Heli, its people and its past is still to be told, and that telling belongs to the villagers themselves.
