Parhal is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to its south. In straight lines, Dhudial is about 14 km away, Chakwal city about 20 km, the Katas Raj temples about 41 km, and the Kallar Kahar lake about 42 km.
Like many families across this plateau, many households here have members serving in the army or working abroad. Those who left and those who stayed are part of the same story.
