Welcome to Pind Fateh, a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It is also spelt Pind Fatta. The village lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south.
Farming here means wheat and groundnut, grown on land that depends on the rain. Many families in this part of Potohar have members serving in the army or working abroad, a bond many of us share with those far away.
Islamabad airport is about 20 km away in a straight line, Rawalpindi 38 km, Dhudial 59 km and Chakwal city 60 km. The fuller story of Pind Fateh is still to be told, and it is for its own people to tell it.
