Ratta is a village in Kallar Kahar Tehsil of District Chakwal, in Punjab, Pakistan. It is also known as Ratta Mohra. Measured in a straight line, Dhudial is about 13 km away, Chakwal city about 23 km, and the Katas Raj temples and Choa Saidan Shah about 35 km each.
The village sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines where farming depends on rain. Wheat and groundnut are grown in its fields, and the Salt Range rises to the south. Like many families in this part of Punjab, many of its households have members serving in the army or working abroad. The village's own story, told by the people who have lived it, is still to be written.
