Riwat, also spelt Rawat, is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields where families farm wheat and groundnut. The Salt Range rises to the south.
In a straight line, Riwat is 17 km from Rawalpindi, 32 km from Islamabad airport, 63 km from Dhudial and 70 km from Chakwal city. Many families in this part of the Potohar have members serving in the army or working abroad, and this page is a place to stay close to them.
