Saugral, also spelt Sanghral, is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to its south. In a straight line, it is about 22 km from Islamabad airport, 29 km from Rawalpindi, 45 km from Dhudial and 48 km from Chakwal city.
Across the plateau, farming has long meant wheat and groundnut grown on rain-watered land, and members of many families serve in the army or work abroad. Those who live here and those who have gone away carry the village with them.
