Simli is a village in District Chakwal, in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Measured in a straight line, it lies about 24 km from Choa Saidan Shah, about 25 km from Dhudial and the Malot temple, and about 26 km from the Katas Raj temples.
The village sits on the Potohar plateau, a dry land cut by ravines. Farming here depends on rain, with wheat and groundnut as the main crops, and the Salt Range rises to the south.
Across this plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad. The full story of Simli is still to be told by its own people.
