Thikrāl (also spelt Thikral) is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields where wheat and groundnut are farmed, with the Salt Range to the south.
Lawa is 20 km away, Talagang 45 km, and both the Kallar Kahar lake and the M2 motorway's Kallar Kahar interchange are about 57 km. As across the plateau, many families here have members serving in the army or working abroad. The full story of Thikrāl, its people and its history is still to be told by the people of the village themselves.
