This is Thil.
Thil is a village in District Chakwal, in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to its south.
Its location puts it within easy reach of several well-known places. In a straight line, Malot temple is about 31 km away, Choa Saidan Shah about 32 km, Dandot in the Salt Range about 33 km, and the Katas Raj temples about 35 km.
Across this plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad. The fuller story of Thil, its people and its days, is still to be told by the villagers themselves.
