The story

Malot is a temple and fort complex in the Salt Range, west of Kallar Kahar at about 230 m. Wikipedia attributes the temple to the Odi Shahi dynasty in the 10th century, in the Gandhara Nagara style, built from local red sandstone around a single shrine. A Gulf Times article says the fort later served as a centre of Janjua power. The Punjab Government began a Rs. 12 million restoration of Malot and other sites in 2021.
