It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields where farmers grow wheat and groundnut, with the Salt Range to the south. Chakwal city is about 1 km away in a straight line, Dhudial about 11 km, and the Kallar Kahar lake and the M2 motorway interchange at Kallar Kahar about 21 km each.
