Bhukki, also spelt Bhukhi, is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields where farmers grow wheat and groundnut, with the Salt Range rising to the south.
The village is about 30 km from Lawa and 45 km from Talagang, and 52 km in a straight line from both the Kallar Kahar lake and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway. Across this plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad, and that tradition of looking beyond the fields is part of the wider region's story.
