This is Chadawala.
Chadawala is a village in District Chakwal, in Punjab, Pakistan. It is also spelt Chanuwala, Chanuwāla and Charuwala. The village lies on the Potohar plateau, an area of dry, ravined land where farming depends on rain, with the Salt Range to the south.
Nearby places include Choa Saidan Shah and Malot temple, each about 14 km away in a straight line, the Katas Raj temples about 17 km away, and Dandot in the Salt Range about 18 km away. Across the plateau, farmers grow wheat and groundnut, and many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The full story of Chadawala, its families and its past is still to be told, and that telling belongs to its own people.
