This is Chakwal Mare.

Chakwal Mare is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. In a straight line it lies about 56 km from Chakwal city, 46 km from Dhudial, 60 km from Rawalpindi and 61 km from Choa Saidan Shah.

The village sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields where farmers grow wheat and groundnut. The Salt Range rises to the south. Across this plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.

The fuller story of Chakwal Mare, its people and its memories is still to be told, and this page is open for the village's own voices to tell it.
