Chhappar, also spelt Chhaper, is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. In a straight line it is 21 km from Rawalpindi, 24 km from Islamabad airport, 50 km from Dhudial and 56 km from Chakwal city.
The land around the village is part of the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined country with the Salt Range to the south. Farming here depends on rain, with wheat and groundnut as the main crops. Many families have members serving in the army or working abroad, and that link between home and far-off places is a familiar part of life here.
