Dhakoo is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to its south. Chakwal city is about 6 km away in a straight line, Dhudial about 14 km, and the Kallar Kahar lake and the M2 motorway interchange at Kallar Kahar each about 22 km.
Across the plateau, farming is largely wheat and groundnut, grown on rain alone, and many families in the area have members serving in the army or working abroad. This page is a place for that connection between home and everywhere else.
