This is Dhok Gar.
Dhok Gar is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. Here the land is worked for wheat and groundnut, and the harvest depends on the rain.
Talagang lies about 22 km away. The Kallar Kahar lake and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway are each about 52 km off, and Lawa about 54 km. Across the Potohar, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad. The full story of Dhok Gar, in its own words, is still to be told by its people.
