It lies on the Potohar plateau, where the land is dry and cut by ravines, and where farming depends on the rain. Wheat and groundnut are grown across the plateau, and this land has shaped the lives of the families who work it.
Chakwal city is about 21 km away in a straight line, Talagang about 24 km, and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway about 26 km. The Kallar Kahar lake is about 27 km off. To the south rise the hills of the Salt Range.
