This is Dhok Kunjala.
Dhok Kunjala is a dhok, a small farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It is also spelt Kunjala or Kunjāla.
The village sits on the dry, ravined land of the Potohar plateau, where farming depends on rain. Its fields grow wheat and groundnut, and the Salt Range rises to the south. In a straight line, Talagang is about 30 km away, Lawa 43 km, the M2 motorway at Kallar Kahar interchange 60 km, and Kallar Kahar lake 61 km.
Many families across this region have members serving in the army or working abroad. The full story of Dhok Kunjala, its families and its past is still to be told by the people who live here and by those who carry it with them.
