Nari, also spelt Narri, is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravined ground and rain-fed fields, where wheat and groundnut are farmed and the Salt Range rises to the south. By straight line, Talagang is about 25 km away, Lawa about 41 km, the M2 motorway at the Kallar Kahar interchange about 56 km, and the Kallar Kahar lake about 57 km.
Across this part of the plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad. The village's own history, its families and its everyday life are still to be told, and we invite the people of Nari to tell them here, in their own words.
