Dhok Malkanah, also spelt Dhok Malkānah, is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. Across this plateau, people farm wheat and groundnut, relying on the rain.
Several well-known places are within easy reach. The Katas Raj temples are about 12 km away in a straight line, Kallar Kahar lake 14 km, Choa Saidan Shah 15 km and the Malot temple 15 km.
Across the Potohar, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad. The village's own story, its people and its years, is still to be told by those who live in it.
