Dhok Shamsu is a dhok, a small farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. In a straight line, it lies about 14 km from Rawalpindi, 23 km from the Islamabad airport, 57 km from Dhudial and 63 km from Chakwal city.
The land here is part of the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined ground where farming depends on rain, with wheat and groundnut among the crops grown in the area. The Salt Range rises to the south. Like many homes in this region, families here have members serving in the army or working abroad.
