Fareed Kassar is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies about 9 km in a straight line from Dhudial and 14 km from Chakwal city. The Katas Raj temples and the Kallar Kahar lake are each about 35 km away.

The land around the village is part of the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined ground where farming depends on rain, and where wheat and groundnut are grown. The Salt Range rises to the south. Many families here have members serving in the army or working abroad, so the village is never far from the people who have left it.
