This is Gurha Bharta.
Gurha Bharta (also spelt Gurha Bhartha) is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. In a straight line, it lies about 21 km from Rawalpindi, 34 km from Islamabad airport, 58 km from Dhudial and 66 km from Chakwal city.
The village stands on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. Across this plateau, families farm wheat and groundnut, and many have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The full story of Gurha Bharta and its people is still to be told. This page is an invitation to the village's own people to write it, in their own words.
