This is Kali Pari.

Kali Pari, also spelt Dhok Mia Riali, is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies about 35 km in a straight line from Rawalpindi, 40 km from Dhudial and from Islamabad airport, and 48 km from Chakwal city.

The land here is part of the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined ground where farmers grow wheat and groundnut, relying on rain rather than irrigation. The Salt Range lies to the south. Many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.

The fuller history of Kali Pari, and the stories of its people, are still to be told by the people who know them best. This page is a starting point, and we invite you to add to it.
