This is Kufri.
Kufri, also written as Bildlabad, is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, where the land is dry and cut by ravines, and the Salt Range rises to the south.
Life here has long been shaped by this land. Families grow wheat and groundnut on rain-fed fields, and many households have relatives serving in the army or working abroad. Talagang is 11 km away, Lawa 41 km, and the Kallar Kahar lake 42 km. The Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway is also about 41 km away.
This page is a starting point. The full story of Kufri, its people and its memories is still to be told, and we invite the villagers and their families abroad to tell it here.
